Let’s write this first chapter together!

I’m Julie Amelie. Born and raised in the South of France, I grew up as a quiet child, observing my surroundings, curious about what was happening beyond my own world—silently listening, exploring, experiencing, and looking for a rational explanation for the sense of humanity. Well… I doubt I’ll ever find an answer. And perhaps… we’re not even meant to.
Over time, my journey slowly shaped the state of mind that has guided every step since: I deeply believe that the greatest issue we face as human beings—beyond climate change, economic instability, or geopolitics—is a lack of self-consciousness.
I’ve personally experienced a complete shift in my life from the moment I started paying attention to what was manifesting inside me. The emotions, intuitions, and quiet signs we, most of the time, silence beneath layers of over-rational thinking.
That’s when I realized that true luxury lies in the harmony we cultivate in every aspect of our lives.
After years spent exploring the world of advertising and business development across different places of the globe — learning from a wide variety of profiles, cultures, and industries, before eventually settling in San Francisco, California—I also realized the importance of being grounded. Of feeling at home.
And from years of reflection and life experiences came this passion for bringing harmony between souls and spaces. That’s how life set me on the path to the Chapter One adventure.
This connection between our emotions and the built environment is at the core of what architects call wellness design—a practice devoted to translating well-being into space.
In the same way that we tailor our diets or fitness plans to stay healthy, wellness design means tailoring our indoor environments to support overall well-being. It’s a holistic approach that brings together architects, interior designers, engineers, and even psychologists to create spaces where people can truly thrive.
The idea is to thoughtfully choose materials, layouts, lighting, acoustics, and even scents with human well-being in mind. Importantly, wellness design recognizes that a healthy building is just as vital as a healthy lifestyle. Since we spend most of our lives indoors, these spaces should actively contribute to our health rather than quietly detract from it.
When your home is designed for wellness, you almost don’t notice it—you simply feel it. The air feels lighter, your focus sharper, your body more at ease. Over time, that translates into deeper rest, improved mood, fewer illnesses, higher productivity... in short, a greater sense of balance in everyday life.
Chapter One, because growth doesn’t always come from adding something new—sometimes, it begins with remembering what truly matters.
Chapter One, because without self-consciousness and inner alignment, we’re not fully inhabiting our own lives, and no space can ever truly feel like home.
In the end, it all starts inside, right?
As Roger Federer once said—legendary tennis player and, above all, a leader grounded in a deep sense of humanity—"It takes courage to move on to your next chapter. And wisdom to know exactly when to write it.”
So whether you're aiming to transform your home into an aesthetic, intentional space, align your mind, body, and surroundings, or simply yearning for inspiration to evolve with presence, connection, and purpose—Chapter One is here to walk alongside you.
And here is my personal note to you. The ethos I’m living by:
(1) Trust.
Trust in your own path.
It won’t be perfect. It won’t be linear. But trust in what the universe is sending your way.
Be open to happenstance. Welcome serendipity.
Fate will connect you with the right people and opportunities—but you must be self-aware enough to feel this magnetism, to recognize it when it appears, and not miss it.
(2) Live and learn.
Live fully. Learn what life has to offer, to teach you.
Cherish who you are, embrace the future version of yourself.
Grow, evolve—let every experience shape you, and bring you back to inner alignment, a sense of anchorage.
Keep faith that every negative chapter will lead to positive outcomes, if only you dare to face it.
And ultimately, (3) Escape the ordinary.
Create the life you envision from within. Listen to your intuition.
We’re given this chance to feel deep inside—this ability to create from nothing, to fail, and this power to iterate, heal, and build resilience.
It’s up to us to use these gifts wisely, to adopt iconoclastic thinking, to have the courage to break paradigms, and to move beyond the comfort of familiar paths.
Choose awareness over autopilot. Depth over convenience. Intention over comfort.
And remember—stop managing everyone else’s opinions. Never allow someone else’s map of reality to dictate how you feel about your own terrain. It’s only a dream until you make it ;)
With gratitude,
